Q. What is the certification process for MCERTS product approval?
A. Sira has created a datasheet outlining the typical route to MCERTS product certification. You can access it from our downloads section by clicking here
Q.How long does it take to get a product MCERTS approved?
A.The timescale for certification depends on a number of factors, but typically takes around 6 months. For most of the MCERTS performance standards a 3 month field trial is required. Usually the manufacturing audit is conducted during the final stages of the field trial to try and reduce timescales as much as possible. If the evidence is already available, then timescales for certification will be dramatically reduced.
Q. How much does MCERTS product approval cost?
A.The cost for certification is a competitive price based on the complexity of the instrument, the number of parameters being measured and the quality of the evidence that is provided for evaluation. Sira is happy to meet with manufacturers to discuss the options, and related costs for certification.
